depends what i'm going for really, or what bass it's with, or what other signal it's mixed with.
haven't recorded yet with the b9 but i'm guessing it will turn out even better after several hours of headphone practicing. |

| | | | i love sansamp sims and zoom tube pre sim.
anyone have a problem with active basses used together with zoom B2? i got a problem at practice last week, MIM fender deluxe jazz with B2 before Hartke3500 head, produced a hiss (and loud hiss) -_- very disappointed. the bass wasn't mine though, and my precisionbass copy works well with B2. |

B0 - SVT
Combines the all-tube SVT from AMPEG with an 810E cabinet. Experience that gutsy tube amp sound.
B1 - SWR
SWR sound modeled on a SM-900 head amp combined with the Goliath cabinet. Rich low range and clear highs are bound to impress.
B2 - SUPER BASS
Simulation of MARSHALL 1992 SuperBass head amp combined with 1935A cabinet, tailored into Marshall style driveoriented sound.
B3 - TRACE
Simulation of TRACE ELLIOT head amp AH-500 combined with two cabinets (1048H & 1518), producing the typical midrange character of British rock.
B4 - BASSMAN
Simulates the Fender Bassman 100 used by Paul McCartney. Enjoy that special Beatles sound with Rickenbacker or Hofner basses.
B5 - ACOUSTIC
Simulation of ACOUSTIC 360 head amp combined with 301 cabinet, characterized by a tight midrange.
B6 - HARTKE
Simulation of HARTKE HA3500 head amp combined with aluminum-cone cabinet 4.5XL. Note the characteristically straightforward punch of aluminum.
B7 - TUBE
Simulates a high-class tube preamplifier such as used in recording studios. The fat and supple sound fits every genre.
B8 - SANSAMP
Simulates the lightly distorted sound of the SANSAMP BASSDRIVER DI, beloved by many bass players.
B9 - TUBE SCREAMER
Simulation of the Tube Screamer used by many guitarists as a booster. Get that cool overdrive sound, whether picking or fingering.

Still just misses, but works in a pinch. Again, though, I'll say for a $100 unit, you can get get some good sims out of it. Just don't expect the world.

I like B4 (Bassman), B6 (SWR), and B7 (Tube) the best for the band. The SVT patch sounds good at home though. |

Bass--->B1x---->Wah------>Sansamp BDDI----->Amp
I use the B1 mostly for Compresson/Limiting. I program it with different comp/limit setting and switch between those patches as I need them. I use some miscellanious effects too... like a phaser, chorus, reverb mix when my band does "For The Love Of Money". I have bunch of "silly" patches that I have made over time that uses wacky reverb, pitch shifting, tremolo..... I play around with them everyonce in a while while songwriting.
My question is this: Is there a thread or link to a site (here on TB or elsewhere) that people have posted their "homegrown" B1/B2 patches? I would love to hear what other people have done. |

Long story short, my Neo Pak died again yesterday while practicing and I grabbed the trusty old Fender BXR300 SS amp (which has no real character of its own) and started twiddling with my B2 in front of the Fender to get some tube warmth into the signal, as I like with the GB head. After making some manual presets I became frustrated and reset the unit to its factory settings - I started going through the factory presets and stopped dead on A5 - that's the sound in my head! I look foward to recording with that setting next week as we continue work on our CD... |

is the only site I know of and there are some pretty cool creations there, your B1x will have similar effects but not as much control. I have a G1x that I use for guitar and piccolo bass and am happy with the results. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
