Well, after playing around with it for a couple hours, I now have a couple patches stored with 3 filters in one, and 3 different choruses in the other. Not too difficult at all, actually.
This thing actually might just work out very nicely for what I was wanting!
Cool!

I believe you have plugged it in with a mono instrument cable instead of stereo TRS cable.

It is plugged in with a mono. Does the cable have to be TRS or can it be TR? I can't believe it but I don't have either right now. Gonna brave the last minute shopper traffic and try to go get one

Sorry if this has been hit on already, but i didnt see it when i skimmed the thread... how are the synth sounds on this thing, i was thinking about buying a bass micro synth for the rare occasion when i would use it but the B3 is about the same price and does more. So if this does a decent synth it might be the route i want to go...

I have a bunch of synth sound samples and patches shared here: http://www.cgraham.com/chris/music/bass/zoom_b3/

You tell me how they sound.

Well, after a loooonngggg rehearsal yesterday, I'm pretty much convinced that this little unit is going to be staying with me.

I did, however, immediately realize that I hadn't programmed each effect "wet" enough (like was mentioned earlier in the thread)----what sounded like "enough" at home actually sounded quite tame through my Mesa rig, with two Marshall half stacks going as well. So, I quickly dialed down the dry tone, and bam, there were the sounds I had been looking for.

Granted, I have only programmed 3 choruses, and 3 different filters, so I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do. But, so far, so good!!

Don't do what I seem to do all the time ....
Get back home, think: "no, that doesn't sound right", tweak the effects, then have to tweak 'em back again at rehearsal.

I can't help myself, can't leave well enough alone!

This question has certainly been asked before but there are like 1000 threads on that effect.

How does it work as a headphone amplifier ? I got solid AKG k518 32ohm headphones, will that effect be able to drive them without any additional amps / preamps ?

Regards
M

I'm pretty sure the B3 could drive any headphones.

I was looking for the headphone amp solition and the multiple effects looper tuner and drums are a nice bonus , would you recommend this effect as all in one training rig ?

I use it as a desktop jam-along solution with ATH-M50's and Grado SR60's and it works great. CPU>USB cbale>B3>Headphones. No other hardware.

Definately.

It'll run any set of headphones.
I've tried all sorts, even my iPod in-ear ones (which sound terrible for this BTW!) with a 1/8" to 1/4" adaptor.

Damn guys, I don't think I can hold any longer to get myself a christmas present

Does the sound quality through the headphones is solid and is there anything I should know about before buying the multieffect ?

Sorry for the questions but I was considering sansamp DI + headphone amp before that, but this beauty has so many bonus additional features and it's cheaper then Sansa at the same time ... almost too good to be true ?

It does not work well in the effects loop, unless you really bring the input gain down on the amp. Other than that, no complaints from me!
