Now I will be searching for drive, distortion and fuzz clips.
Any suggestions where to look?
| Here's one I played with a bit recently on the B3.
It's an attempt at the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's fuzz sound on their "Spread Your Love" track. BRMC Fuzz
I still haven't nailed it because I need a semi-acoustic bass to get the right sound. All I have here is solid bodies, so I used my Fender P.
Yes, the track sounds "honky", that's because I was EQ'ing it to try and sound like a semi-acoustic bass.
Does anyone know how to make a Fender P sound (at least a little bit) like a Gibson Eb-2 semi-acoustic?
Greg

However, this isn't working on my Android phone.
Tomorrow I'll try it on the computer.

No problem OmeDunk.
You probably already know, but for those who don't : you can download the patch (and many others) direct here: Zoom B3 patches to download straight into your B3
Use Zoom's " Edit & Share" program.

I had a bit of a play around with the delays a while back.
No basslines, just plucking a single note and fiddling with the settings of:
1. Filter delay
2. Pitch delay
3. Phase delay A play with a few B3 delays

Thanks Greg!
Now I do realise that I want 3 stages from little edgy dirt to mildly distortion, a fuzz and a synth kind of thing for the occasional Muse cover.
So I have to make up my mind about the B3. |

| You are more than welcome to come to my house and try my B3 for yourself!
(It's only a little over 16,500km each way!)

(It's only a little over 16,500km each way!) | Very tempting! Winter over here. And, according to the newspapers, loads of sun Down Under. |

Don't love the octave and the filters leave a lot to be desired, but I've got an incoming OC-2 and BEF Pro to solve that issue. I'm finding a ton of very cool combinations using the B3 with other pedals. |

| Yeah, I find the octave effects ok if I stay above the 5th fret. Below that, forget it.
Filters aren't my thing anyway. I don't know the difference between good and bad there!

I will be purchasing several Zoom B3 units for a project my company is working on, but wanted to know if there are plans to be able to use six patches at once on this unit.
I understand that there is a firmware update for the Zoom G3 that will allow this option. Will there be a firmware update anytime soon to fix this oversight on the B3?
If so, what does the schedule look like for program completion for an update on the firmware of the Zoom B3?
I believe your company would be able to sell many more B3 units if this simple programming update can be implemented quickly. Thank you for your time.

Dear Mr. Jason
Thank you for your inquiry.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to make public what we plan to do in the future. Therefore we are afraid we cannot give you a definite answer regarding the matter. Your kind understanding is highly appreciated.
For your information, such information on the new firmware for the B3 has not reached us from our development team at the moment.
Sincerely yours,
ZOOM Corporation <<
Oh well, I thought it was worth a shot. For the record I have no company, but I do have a B3 purchased, but it's on back order...

| If everyone gets onboard we might be able to petition them into action.
Guys, keep those emails going!

I'm taking the Ampeg SVP pro out of the chain, XLS 1500 into a small rack case. I have to try to lighten up after dragging the 810 to last week's gig.
I have never really paid any attention to the "Amp" effects, so looking forward to finding something usable. Still like this B3.
