Cab simulations dont bode well if it's in the middle of other pedals. Maybe at the end if that's what you're going for and going DI, but that's about it. On the plus side that means you've got a spot opened up in the patch

I made a couple of patches over patches with an amp and ended up leaving the amp in the patch just for the way it made everything sound. Some of the amp models make pretty good ODs too. |

I tend to keep my cabs on, but only dial in 25 or less |

Still have to tweak a few things but all around great unit. Created a patch with 3 effects that I turn on and off depending on the song, have an MXR Env filter copy right next to that and fuzz/octave. Since I have never been a pedal guy the switching back and forth was a bit awkward at times but got better as the night went on. I'm going to have to setup some banks for the varying amp setups I'll be using for shows. Going to get busy for the next few months so we'll see how the B3 stands up.
PS, The Edit and Share software is the next best thing since sliced bread!!

Sounds really good, and it seems like the UI is going to play well with my brain as far as finding good useful sounds. I like my BP355, but it was really taking me a long time to get to the point where I was liking what I was hearing. Not so with the B3. Me twist knobs. Me listen. Me say "yay" or "ugh". Me twist more knobs. Etc etc. I like the setup. Look forward to devising a good organizational scheme for two different amps and 5 basses that gets me what I want. I finally feel like this may be possible. And now I won't feel like I'm trying to spell "boobs" on a bright red LED calculator like I was on the BP355.
It all like fun and junk.
Oh and I agree; the edit and share software is the bee's knees.
Thanks!
B.

| Good stuff guys!
Don't forget that Crystalman85 has a great thread going on TB all about sharing patch settings called: Zoom B3 patch ideas
Also, there is a "library" of patches to download direct and try out here.
If you come up with any patches yourself please share them in both arenas!
Also, CharlieC has a great thread going that covers the use of the B3 as a pre-amp here.

Not to mention your consistent input here as well. I downloaded the first 50 patches from the google drive share site to my computer, and will begin to work through those as time allows. Hope to add some of my own soon to the site as well. Thanks to you and all others that have contributed to this thread!

| Yeah, I love it too.
A very minor issue, but I just wish that you could import bulk patches in one go without having to hit "Import" to load each one individually into Edit & Share.
To clarify: You can select a bunch from another source in one go, but they won't import into Edit & Share together.

My first inclination was to to the MF-101 sim in the B3 but alas even with the sensitivity at 0 it keeps applying a friggin' envelope. Sounds like a bug to me. None of the other filters offer a sens=0 setting so they always have envelope applied as well.
I got something in the general LPF ballpark by going Bottom > Splitter with the highs rolled off but it's not really the same. Haven't tried amps as EQ yet. Did try some of the EQ but they don't have enough gross cut to work as a LPF, at least based on my experimentation. |

| | | | Very excited to have just received mine this morning. Although, hadn't thought about a case to protect it. Has anyone found a good product they'd recommend (preferably available in the UK) please?
If I find something good I'll post it up.
Cheers
