Zoom B3 set up:

Hey guys, I am about to buy the Zoom B3 and along with it I will be buying an Expression Pedal. I am buying these off Thomann and the Zoom FP02 wont be in stock until mid February and I cant wait that long! Instead, I will be buying a 'Lead Foot LFV-1' and in the description it says 'guitar volume pedal (mono)' and its the 'mono' bit that worries me. So I was wondering does this matter? Or does the Pedal I buy need to be stereo or mono? Thanks in advance!

You need an Expression pedal, I can only see that being listed as a volume pedal, it won't work as far as I know. Unless you only want a volume pedal.

Get this instead. Unexpensive and it works fine.

What about one of these. Not quite a B3 but it might be close enough and comes with an expression pedal.

That thing looks like a piece of junk. And I like my B3 a lot. The B1 looks like a plastic toy that would last about a week.

I use a Roland EV-5 with my B3 and it works fine.

My B3 certainly does not feel like it could take much of a beating either, it is in a cheap plastic housing. I imagine they are made of the same material.

I don't know where you got this idea. Screens aside, the B3 housing is all metal and solid switches.

Don't get me wrong I'm sure it the B1 sounds fine, and I didn't mean to come off like I was attacking anyone. I'm more disappointed with Zoom for making the B1 plastic. Plus it just looks really cheesey. And yep the B3 is metal and seems just as solid as anything else I own.

I personally ally didn't take any offence, and I agree with your comments (on the whole), but as a B3 and 60B owner I think the new pedal might just be better for me.
I love the B3 but due to having big feet I find the foot switches too close together.
I now use just the 60D on top of my amp as a mini rack. The new pedals might be better for me as far as the switches go.
Does look cheap though, no question, but I'm not heavy handed...or footed.

I'll be damned, the B3 is metal, it just looks like cheap plastic.

Do you guys get a full sweep while using the B3 with your m-audio exp pedal?
I can't with mine (for example, with the whammy effect i cant sweep a full octave), so i just use the expression pedal as a volume control.

I have a multimeter, what are the resistance values that i should read?

Did you adjust the pedal settings in the global menu?

Where have you looked for this pedal at (the F2)....? I would either look in more places or just get the B3 without the pedal till you can get the pedal.
