Ok, I have an old 607 pedal that I do love, but I get a ton of hissing on a lot of the channels. What am I doing wrong? I'm running it through a GK BL600. I love so many of the effects on it, but I may not be using it correctly. Help!

You may not be doing anything wrong. A lot of older digital effects hiss.

The most likely culprits are comp, EQ and distortion. However, Bongo is right that cheaper digital multis are kind of noisy.

I have a 607 and it's not you, it's the unit.

Noise gate works wonders. When the music is going, you can't hear the noise, but when it's not going, you can, so yeah, gate it.
