Zvex Machine Sound Clips (really- i have clips this time)

Sign in to disble this ad
hello- so- heres a very brief review of the machine.

i couldnt quite get how soundclick works- so i just attached the mp3. if theres anything specific youd like clips of- i am happy to do more. i still need to make clips of it going into a murf- sounds pretty cool.

review- first zvex i bought with 9v plug- which was nice. as for sound- it maintains the original tone very well i thought. if you set the knobs right- theres still the original signal in there. it has no subtle setting- and- in my opinion- only sounds good in one setting. its kind of expensive for just doing one thing- but its unique. im not sure if it got captured- but when you slide or bend notes- there is this swirling thing itll do sometimes- and i rather like it- at least over a fuzz at a harsh setting. oh- and i dont think it sounds great with slap- if thats what you were going to use it for- and you can probably tell it doesnt sound great if you play fairly fast- maybe thats too many peaks- and not enough smooth part for it to do the crossover distortion thing.

AND- HERES THE CLIP:

I thought it was supposed to sound terrible on its own and just enhance fuzz pedals...

i own a zvex machine, and i LOVE L O V E LOVE the freakin thing. i have posted clips of it before on here but they mustve gotten deleted..

when i first got my machine i intended to only use it for wild solo type tihngs, expecting low end loss. then when i got it, i discovered that the limit is a blend knob. all the way to the right you have your clean signal there, so when you kick it on it doesent loose bottom, it ADDS a lot of high end (brutal, awesome high end.)

it was intended for use with another fuzz but alone the thing is amazing.

im gana go record sound clips right now to proove its brutal beauty..

Wow, sounds very transparent. Almost like there's no effect at all.

yeah I really want to hear these clips. I've wanted one of these for a long time....and I've been having a fuzz/awful sound itch lately...just might be enough room on my board for one of these.

the blurb says that the machine cuts through fuzz- which is true in that you can hear it over fuzz- but why you would want both on is beyond me.

Not to worry, folks; detectives Sonny Crockett and Rico Tubbs are on the case of the missing Machine clips!
