i want to change my fender mim PU, I'm considering to take bassline pu, but i don't know should i take the active or the passive one?
how bout i add pre-amp on my bass, but it would make hole in my bass.. pretty bad if i think about it..
so i would like to ask your opinion.. thx.. please my mim need sounding help

translation: He wants to change the pickups in his yet unmentioned fender 5 string and he's considering adding a preamp


what kind of MIM Fender is it? P, J, P/J.....
basslines are good but theres better out there. do a little searching here and you'll find a million reviews
as far as the preamp. thats up to you, some people like em, some people dont.

well,thx for the translation.. i'm just kinda hurry.. i have mim standart series 5 strings.. maybe someone can give advice wheter i buy an active pu or a passive pu with a preamp

I put Bartolinis in my MIM 5. Sounds killer. If you have the money, try a preamp. If it doesn't work, take it out.

a bartolini? is it active or passive? and do you have to (oh sh*t what's the word) refurnish or make a larger hole on your PU slot?

any other advice for PU better than bassline? i play lot of gospel and i'm a big fans of abraham laboriel.. any idea what's the PU for that?
