3 way switch on Marcus Miller or really any Fender Jazz
 

Has anybody put a 3 way switch on a Marcus Miller? There is really no good way to switch pups on or off quickly without screwing up your levels.

I've been wondering this same thing. Like can you put a switch in there somewhere that'll let you switch neck-both-bridge but lets you leave the knobs alone.

Without a problem. You'd have to find the output wires from the two volume pots, hook those up to a three-way switch's outside contacts, and the switch's central contact (the output) to the preamp.

Most basses just use a pan pot in place of the second volume to accomplish this.
