3 way toggle: before or after series/parallel switch for P/J?

Sign in to disble this ad
Want to throw a 3 way toggle in the mix to solo the P or J on the fly. (I do realize that this would only work in Parallel mode)

current wiring goes:

series/parallel DPDT--V--V--no tone--jack

You will want to use a 3PDT mini toggle so that you can bypass the pickup selector switch in series mode, otherwise you will have no output when the bridge pickup is soloed.

I'm not sure what you mean by before or after?
The series/parallel switch grounds the neck pickup's - lead and connects the bridge pickup's hot to the bridge pickup's volume in parallel mode, and connects the bridge pickup's hot to the neck pickup's - lead in series mode. The neck pickup's hot is never rewired, and the bridge pickup's hot is simply switched between it's volume pot and the neck pickup's - lead.
