| That switch works like a 3-way pickup switch; one on, both on, the other one on. To get a cap bypass you have two positions giving you the same cap, and the other position being the bypass. I'd forget about the bypass or use another switch.
Cap values add when they're in series. That makes it easy to fine tune.
You could have it with a .022 on one side, and .047 on the other; the middle would be .069.
You could go .032 (.022 + .01) on one side, .069 (.022 + .047) on the other side; the middle would be .101uF.
It's worth it to buy a few and test them in your bass with alligator clips or wire nuts before soldering. That way you can pick your favorites and just solder once. |
