4 conductor series/parallel/single humbucker wiring question?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone know of a way to wire humbucker so you have the option of series - parallel and single coil options, where you can also choose which coil (neck or bridge) you want to use. I know how to do the series - parallel - single wiring with a 3 way switch but you have to choose up front which coil is going to be the single.

A rotary switch will do it:

You can do single/parallel/other single, if that's any good (it's the one I use - I always found series too blurry)
It's on BestBass Gear's site, under pickups,Delano, wiring diagrams, four wire. There are several option there, or you can check out Bart's site, under electronics, which also has several options.
I don't know any way of doing series/parallel/single/other single, although it must be possible.
You may have to choose which is better - the choice between the two singles, or the choice between series/parallel
