I've go one sitting here... got it from allparts years ago, never did anything with it. http://www.allparts.com/5-position-R...p-4925-000.htm
I was wondering what kind of fun things I could do with it. I have 2 pickups with 4 leads each.
Any suggestions?

How about:
1: Neck.
2: Neck and Bridge Parallel.
3: Neck and Bridge Series.
4: Bridge.
5: Mute. |

You can do master series/parallel switching and phase inversion as well. |

I also was thinking about the switch on these dual hum Musicmans. Can I do something like that with the rotary?
No phase inversion, though. Not a fan of that on bass.

I think I have already done a diagram for what I described above, but with volume and tone controls. I'm on my iPhone right now, so I can't link it yet. |

| | | | Does that switch happen to fit like a normal pot on a rear rout wood top body? Ive been trying to find a switch like that but 6 way for a while and thats the one issue im having.
EDIT: Scratch that, the 6 position one i need has the exact same measurments as the pots so itll fit. Thanks for making this thread. lol

I'd like to have some tonal options with no hum, so what ya got?
Bridge Solo
Inner coils
Both
Outer coils
Neck solo
Something like that possible? Maybe with different series/parallel options.
What about options I can add with 2 more switches?
Here's the delano wiring colors... http://delano.de/uploads/tx_smtdelan..._wiring_04.pdf

1. Bridge.
2. Neck and Bridge Series.
3. Neck and Bridge Parallel.
4. Neck.
Leave the 5th position open for a mute. Alternatively, ground the common terminal of the 3rd pole of the switch, and connect the 5th position connection of that pole to the tip terminal of the output jack. Quote:

Here's the delano wiring colors... http://delano.de/uploads/tx_smtdelan..._wiring_04.pdf | That configuration is possible.
The "Both" setting can be either series or parallel, but with the two coils of each pickup in series. (If you want to get into inner and outer coil switching on the rotary switch, the two coils of each pickup must stay in series because there are only 4 switch poles, and parallel would require 6.)
Honestly, it would probably be better to do Series/Split/Parallel mini toggle switches for each pickup, then the rotary switch setup for Neck/Series/Parallel/Bridge/Mute. This would give you the most tonal options, even if many would probably be useless settings. |

This was something I spotted and wanted to try: http://www.guitarelectronics.com/pro...-Download-Free
What colors of the Delano wiring would correspond to the "north start, north finish, south start, south finish"?

| | This is what happens, Larry... | | Join Date: Feb 2000 Location: Cleveland, OH. | | Well, actually, I can't fit the switch in with the preamp.
I decided to just throw the series/parallel switch in (push/pull on the Bridge volume). It does make a nice difference.
Those 5 ways are TALL! The East Preamp is LONG and AWKWARD!
So no go on this bass, but if I were to have a smaller preamp, I'd try it.
