500k Pot Replacement

One of the 500k volume pot's on my Ibanez EDB600 is bust and i'm having trouble finding a replacement.

I've been to the local stores, but none of them stock them, the closest i could get my hands on was a 470k, i also looked online but they wanted $28 to deliver to the UK.

Does anyone know if a 470k will do the trick, or is there any other alternative?

If not does any know of any decent sites, or stores that sell components in the UK for decent prices?

Where have you been shopping that you can't find a 500K pot?
Just about any music store that stocks guitar parts should have one.

You can get them just about everywhere online too.

A 470K pot would work fine, perhaps just a touch less output and treble, but I doubt it if you could even hear the difference.

What taper was the 470K pot you were going to buy?
A linear taper (B470K) will give you a smoother sweep.

$6 is expensive.
A pot like that should be worth around $4.50
