'54 SCPB vs '51 SCPB pickups

I've am looking for information, images, and specs for the modifications Fender made to their SCPB pickups in late '53 for issue in the '54 - '56 P-basses. if I understand correctly, Fender adopted a staggered pole piece in the redesign to produce a more even string volume

does anybody have info they can share on these?

I'm searching because I'm wanting to build a '54P styled to incorporate the contoured body upgrades into the original '51P styling. it only seems a natural to also utilize the upgraded specs pickup as well
