55-01 replacements Bartolinis vs Nordstrands

I'm considering getting some new pups and going passive with my 55-01.

Any folks care to compare the tone of;

Bartolini CB series
vs
Bartolini Quad coils
vs
Nordstrand Big singles
vs
Nordstrand Dual Coils.

What I'm looking for.
I'd like to be able to get a good Hi-Fi sound, but it's much more important to be able to get that old-school roundess. My main complaint with the current MK pups, which aren't bad pups at all, is that they sound a bit brash. Smoothness and punch are priorities for me.
