5501 pre replacement

The pre-amp in my 5501 is dead so I need to replace it. I do not want to do any mods to the bass, just drop it in. I would like to use an OBP-3 , has any here used one in a 5501

Other than the agi or the bart pre can anyone recommend another direct drop in pre
