Are 57 RI "P"s and the 62 RI pups the same?

I am wondering about the 57 RI P pups. Are they the same as the 62 RI/ Fender Original pups?

They are the same, unless you're refering to the stock pickups that come in the MIM 50's Pbass. Those are just stock alnico pickups, not the '62 reissue/"original" pbass pickups fender sells seperately.

I don't think they are the same. The 57 has the raised a string pole pieces, and the 62 has all flat pole pieces.
