6 knobs ? Really you just need 2 volumes and 1 tone control, so where do the other 3 knobs come in ?

What exactly did you want each of the 6 knobs to control ?

not knobs, knops

You could have a bass cut and a mid cut and a Black Ice distortion, in addition to the treble cut (i.e. tone control) and 2 volumes (or blend/vol).

I'd recommend a series/parallel switch as well.

But, most of them would do nothing

Volume/Volume/Blend/Tone/Tone/Master Volume ?

Uh...Personally I don't think a lot of knobs look cool, but I really dont' think you need as many as you are thinking. If you have two J pickups then the most you could have and make sense are 5: Master Volume/Neck volume/ Neck Tone/Bridge Volume/Bridge Tone. A blending knob would make absolutely no sense since you already have volume control for your individual pickups and really the master volume doesn't make much sense either unless you are using it for volume pedal like effects where you truley need to cut and raise your sound. Frankly I'm fine with volume/tone/blend on a passive j.

It's possible, but your wiring depends on what you want to do. If you want a Tone/Something/Volume configuration for each pickup then it would be pretty simple. Maybe you could have a high-cut and low-cut knob for each pickup or something.

It's not possible, the most you can have is 4. Two tone, two volume.

Could always put a black ice style distortion in for each pickup

Many things to do.
2 volumes, hi-pass ("castrator" circuit), lo-pass (passive tone), rotary switch for parallel/series/off-phase wiring, Black Ice overdrive (passive fuzz), Varitone (variable mid-shift unit), ooops we're already at 7.
