ABG pickup question (weak G string)

Sign in to disble this ad
I restrung my Ibanez AEB 10. The G sounds weaker than the rest of the strings (indicator lights on my compressor show less signal strength.) Could the pickup move without string tension on the saddle?

Your not getting enough pressure across the G string element. You may need to shim the saddle to get the sound to even out.
