Acoustic bass pre-amp recommendations

I have a POS Rogue AB 304A acoustic electric bass. I sounds horrible plugged in. It plays great. And sounds decent acoustically.

I am replacing the tuning keys since one failed.

I am looking for a recommendation for the electronics. Any thoughts?

So far I have gutted all the electronics.
