Active pickup problem.

Hey Guys! I bought a used 2003 American Standard P Bass on Ebay a few years back. It came with active EMG pickups installed, and the originals in the case. I loved the soiund of the EMG's so never cared to change them out. Recently I started losing something in my bass. When I first plug it in it sounds great, but then it slowly becomes more distorted as time passes. Sounds like a fuzz box. It really sounded like the battery was dying, but a new battery didn't solve the problem. I checked all the solder points. Any ideas on how to proceed?

I will probably end up putting the original pickups in, but i'm hoping to figure this out and keep the EMG's in there.

Thanks for your time! Peace to you and yours. DD

Thats what happens when the battery is going dead. or you have something going on in your amp. EMG's are usually ultimatly reliable, double check the connections at your jack too.

Check to see if you have a dirty connection on the output jack.
