add P Between Jazz pup's on jazz bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I want that P sound sometimes. Would it be crazy to add a P between my Jazz pups? Why don't I ever see this? Does it create a wiring problem or something? It seems like the P would need to be a little closer to the bridge then normal, but not much. I'd think someone could figure it out by adding another switch to my preamp. Thinking of this for my Sadowsky modern 5 rather then buying a p bass.
