Adrian Garcia's comments on Nordstrands

I just wanted to say, as a consummate amatuer, once I got Jason's old Valenti in my hands and ears I knew I had found my " Holy Grail".

The pickups sound so natural, its unbeleivable. I was used to the clean compressed sound of Barts. ( again, I'm an inexpereinced amatuer, so YRMV!)

I wanted to thank Adrain for sharing his thoughts as it confirms my amatuer ears. Norstrands are king! In fact, I had been using a Demeter optical comrpessor on my passives and couldnt use it on the Lakland ( sound compressed already), and tried it on the Valenti. Sure, it worked, but frankly, that Valenti with its Nordstrands, I'm running straight up, au natural. I only boost low, cut highs and give a little 200 Hz mid when I'm looking fo a vintage P bass type tone.

Nordstrands. INDEED!

I want that tone back so bad.

Right after I let that bass go I moved all my amp stuff and replaced it with a DB680/728 and an AG500. I can only imagine how nice the Valenti would have sounded if it makes my crappy L2500 sound this good.
