Advice on a P/J pickup set for Warwick Fortress One 4 strings

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys,

the topic says it all. The bass is an '95 Fortress One that i want to recover for sentimental reasons

The original MEC active/passive electronics with some sort of pre-amp are ruined and if want to replace the electronics by the same model it will be too damned expensive (289 Eur for electronics set without the pickups!!). My current MEC pickups are ok.

I went to check the EMG webpage for their offers but didn't find any that suit and fit the 4 knobs controls that my bass has (volume push/pull for active/passive; balance, tone bridge Jazz, tone neck Precision)... so i really don't know what to do...

Comments would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

I am using Seymour Duncan SPB-1 and STK-J2 in a P-J bass (with 500k volume pots, Fender TBX tone control.)

I get a great variety of tones from this set-up.
