Advice in pickup placement

I dont use to post in this forum but I hope somebody has some advice for me.
Im building this bass:

I just finished the routing templates...
So now Im facing the BIG decision of how to place the pickups.

This bass is an order from a good friend of mine, he asked me about a bit shorter scale bass.
The scale is 830mm or 32,5 inches.
He loves the PJ bass sound and also the MM.
So I decided to order some stuff to JWorrell, I asked him for an Jazz neck pickup overwounded to 11k, and a balanced MM for bridge.

In the picture Pups are placed in Jazz bass position with scale correction, the center of the MM is in the same place is suposed to be the center of a 60 Jazz.

So I´m a bit afraid of going too dark, Id like to get kind of big thick rock vibe, and Im sure Ill get it from this pickups.
Wiring will be V V T I also considering to use a series- parallel switch in the MM pickup for tonal variety.

Any advice?
Any words of wisdom?

If you were afraid of it being too dark, why get such over wound pickups?

The pickup placement looks fine. There is no correct place to put pickups. Just different places. They all work.

Well I actually get those pickups because Ive previously ordered another overwounded jazz...
I ordered one 12k jazz neck pickup to Jworrell, and I should say I love it! Makes a P sound wimp It happened a couple of times some friend is playing his bass, I offer mine and he is astonished with the HOT output, the TON of BASS and the PHAT vibe of the instrument, and when he plugs his bass again feels shy about the thin sound...
Certainly not the brightest-clearest pickup but for sure you will get some attitude in your sound

So when decided to build this short scale, I thought about going less overwounded due short scale and I wanted a bit more of highs.
The problem is I can figure how the NECK sounds alone but how to match it properly with a MM.

I´m thinkin about moving bridge pup closer to the sweet spot (whatever it means) to retain more of the MM sound.
So my real question (sorry) is should I also move the neck pup closer to the sweet spot to get better balance?

Where you place the pickups doesn't really affect the balance of them. The way they are wound does. So place them where you want for their soloed tone.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I assume the bridge pups are a bit hotter due the more reduced motion of the string in this area...
I`ll move the MM 10 mm to the neck and the J 5mm to the bridge.
