I might use them on a MIM bass but I can't see how they would be a significant upgrade on a MIA Fender.

Why not post in the Pickups-Electronics forum? That's where the connoisseurs hang out.

I agree with cdef.

But I think it might be snake oil. I was curious about these pups and I found that while Fodera does use a custom pup made by Duncan, I can't find any proof that they sell them to lackeys like us.

I don't see pickups on this list, and they don't sell them through their online store.

Check this thread too:
Fodera Pickups/Preamp

Looks like the same guy. 0 feedback in the forum? New Zealand? Let me know if you move this thread to the pickup thread. I really would like to know if these are even close to legit.

I thought Id ask you guys in the States as this sort of thing is way up your alley .... bretty minimal knowledge and selection here in New Zealand , only Basslines , Bart etc are pushed .

These are custom wound to Fodera specs, which generally speaking are well underwound compared to regular commercial pickups.

These pickups do NOT go too well with other basses and preamps. You'd be better keeping your Fender pickups...

You should see if DiMarzio can be shipped internationally. I do like them a whole bunch.
