aggie obp3 in cirrus?

Sign in to disble this ad
would it be foolish to install an obp3 onboard preamp in place of my us cirrus stock pre? I had it in my stingray, so its just sitting around, and I am always looking to improve my tone. I play rock and metal through eden wt800 and 410xlt's. adding an rbi soon. thanks for any opinoins!!

Go for it! If for some reason you didn't like it you could always return it to stock, right?

FWIW, I put an OBP-3 into a DynaBass that had nothing but pots left in it (the pcb was long gone), hooked up the Super Ferrites, and have been loving it ever since.

got the obp3 installed, and everything works. I just tested with a small practice amp, but it sounds good. I noticed a much larger difference over the stock pre when making small tone adjustments on the guitar. going to run through my eden rig at rehearsal tonight, so that should tell me what I need to know.
