Aguilar DB900 users - help

I just picked one of these up off of eBay. I still haven't received it, so...

If I used it as part of my live rig, is the DB900 going to help with my tone when I'm just running it as a part of my normal signal chain to my amp - i.e. when I'm not sending signal out to a P.A.?

If it is not going to help my live tone much I may just sell it when I get it.
