Aguilar OBP-1, is it an easy installation in a Marcus Fender Bass??

Hola,
I have the schmatic, and I can solder pretty well. Is it an easy installation job to wire in the Aggie OBP-1 in my Marcus 4 stringer? I'd imagine if I take it slow, it should be do-able? Like to hear from my fellow Bass Bros. of their experiences on installing theirs.

Should be a no brainer for you then. And it probably won't take you that long either since the picjups are already wired up and to their respective volume pots.

As long as you have room for two batteries, it should be pretty straight forward.

The battery compartment will need to be routed. It can actually be routed (so it's like a cross) wide enough to fit two batteries and still be concealed. AND there's finger room to grab the batteries.

Got DiMarzio Jazz (DP123) and Aguilar OBP1 in my JB M².

Indeed, with a dremel it's easy to wide up the cavity a little so the 2 batteries fit inside. Otherwise soldering the parts isn't that complicate if you take your time.

I wanna make the same modify on my Marcus Miller. The sound has improved with DiMarzio and OBP1? You can tell me your opinion?
Thanks

The stock pickups on my M² were just crap, great on D & G strings, but so weak on E & A strings, and so noisy.

DP123 keeps the original vintage tone, but with more PB like "balls" and without hum.
These pickups do not change the sound of a classic jazz (unlike mid-scooped Ultra Jazz do), they sound a little fatter than single coils, but stay very close.

OBP1 bass boost keeps a great low end when you use the neck pickup soloed, and treble boost is a killer when you slap with both pickups turned on (Marcus tone)
