Aguilar OBP-3 Diagram

Sign in to disble this ad
I just picked up a Aguilar OBP-3 from a TB'er and it didn't come with a diagram. I'm not sure how to put it together without the diagram. Anyone know where I can get a diagram?

I'm thinking I got a fast one pull on me. I bought this set for $100 plus $5 shipping thinking it's the entire kit. All I got was the OBP-3 module and 4 50K pots. No input jack or push/pull pot. So did I get r@ped?

The pots you got would more or less handle the tone controls (bass-mid-treble), the type of volume and balance pots would really depend on your pick-ups. As for the input jack, they're pretty cheap. The push-pull pots, whether they be used as a bypass or a scoop switch, are options. Those pots cost a bit more. However you could get the same result by just adding DPDT micro switches, which are relatively cheap.

Where would one get something like that?

Just search for DPDT and there should be few switches and pots there.

Which one, the DPDT micros? Try RadioShack or other similar stores. One thing to consider though with these micros is you'll have to drill a hole in your bass body/pick guard to mount them - something which you might not want to do or might regret later on. What kind of a bass do you intend to stuff these things in? If drilling new holes is out of the question, then the more expensive push-pull pots might be your only alternative.

I'm trying to build a vintage jazz. The body is a MIM Jazz body and the neck is an AllParts neck. Drilling new holes is indeed out of the question. I was looking on Stew-Mac.com and they have some pretty nice push/pull pots. They're not that expensive ($10 for the better ones) but the costs are strating to add up. I just thought that the OBP-3 kit should've included everything.
