Aguilar OBP-3TK/PP questions

Sign in to disble this ad
So I am looking at a new preamp for my modulus TBX anyhow I looked online at the OBP-3TK/PP and it does not say anything on the website about a pickup blend knob? does it have one. Also the bass currently has two pickup tap three way switches which I would like to keep. Will it be possible to wire them up or are they already wired between the pickups? This might sound stupid but I would rather not buy something that is not fitting for the application. Thanks TBers

You can use the same volume and blend thats in your bass, Aguilar just supplies the eq pots.

Yep, you should be able to keep the configuration exactly the same as it is now.

A preamp does not necessarily have a specific wiring scheme associated with it.
You can pretty much wire up whatever way you want to, so long as you use the correct pot values.

The OBP-3 uses 50K pots for the EQ, which will be supplied with the preamp.
Volumes, blends and passive tone controls running before the preamp's input will be 250K/500K.
Master volumes and/or master tones running after the preamp's output would be 25K/50K pots.
