aguilar obp3 and ag500

i have an ag500 and am thinking about getting a new preamp in my bass. it kind of seems like over to have all the same frequencies and a narrow band at that. just looking for any one elses thoughts on this

anyone. i know it's all taste but i have yet to try the combo. it's easy to assume that products from the same company should pair well together but i just haven't had the chance to try it out

I think you may get more answers if you phrase your topic in the form of the question, as it is, your question is very poorly worded in the first place.

I'm fairly certain the voicing of the OBP3 would not be quite the same as AG500, but both sound very good on their own, so the combination should sound also sound good.
Though, I can't say for certain, I've always been more of an external pre-amp kind of guy.
I like having the option of stomping it off when I'm not needing it.
