Aguilar obp3 + Bartolini MM = noise ???

hey now,

id like to first start off with my ignorance. im very new to installs and or wiring and also this board (my first post)def. a great resource.so i purchased a sx stingray copy a few months back to use at church. after moving to a new facility we went to an in ear setup. shure in ears and axiom mixers. after hooking up the bass into a di it was deemed "noisey" and i was told i might want to get it fixed. so i purchased an aguilar obp3 and a bart classic bass mm pickup. i followed all directions from aguilar and bart . so today i take to bass to church to practice . i first notice a nice huuummmmm when the mids are set at half way. i then turn up the treble and it starts to give a nice buzzzzzz at half way. ive got all the pots grounded . (ran a wire from the top of each 1 back to the input jack) is there something that i may have missed.??
any help will be much appreciated.i triple checked all of my solder joints and everything seems to be kosher.
