So I got this preamp, got it hooked up. Conf. V,Blend,B-M-Hi, passive switch,mid switch. In passive mod the volume doesn't work. There's volume but the pot doesn't affect anything. In active, the preamp shuts off as though it's in standby. Any help TBers? All you can do will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! BY the way it's an OBP3

I am thinking about getting this exact pre for my new Ibanez SR1200. I don't have any info for you other than take it to a tech, but let me know how you like it when you get it going.

Good luck man

Thanks. If I remember when it's hooked up, I'll let you know. I'm putting it in a Yamaha BB605

I would check the active/passive switch wiring.
volume should work in both ways (if you want that, of course)

The volume should be independent of the preamp, so if it takes on a different role depending on your switch, you have an issue somewhere with it. Your signal chain should look something like this:

pickup 1 -> blend
pickup 2 -> blend
blend -> vol -> bypass switch
bypass switch -> preamp

Did you use Aguilar's wiring diagram?
