| I had the OBP-1 in a '76 Jazz. (Talk about killer...) I also borrowed a Sadowsky outboard for a while. Similar concept (bass/treble boost-only) and both are nice & musical. The OBP-1 is 18V - IME it's slightly tighter and more neutral than the Sadowsky, but the bass and/or treble boost can be truly massive.
I haven't tried the OBP-2 but I like a good 9V 2-band boost/cut onboard pre. (With the option to go 18V.)
If I was doing an install, I'd be hard-pressed to choose between these three. Deciding 9 or 18V, boost only or boost/cut would be the biggest determining factor.
