Just purchased one of the wireless systems (with guitarbug transmitter) from ebay, (for $80!) But it didn't come with a power supply.

Anyone know where I can purchase one? I've googled, and even the contacted the company, and can't seem to find one anywhere..

..Starting to make sense why he sold it for $80.00

First of all - I can't imagine that it takes some special voltage, etc. What voltage is printed on the base unit? It should be something like 6VDC, 9V, 12V, etc. Then you just get the proper adapter somewhere, such as Radio Shack or Surplustraders.net. You do have to check that the plug size and polarity are correct.

AKG surely has repair parts for their units - did you get to the parts department?

ALSO - the biggest problem is that the SR450 can operate in the 700 MHz band - this is now not only illegal, but prone to interference.

Just purchased it off of Ebay, so I don't actually have it in my hands yet. Googled information about it and it says it operates in 710 MHz up to 820 MHz. Not 700MHz. Do you think it will still be a problem?

Also, this is an AKG uhf-SR40 Diversity. Sorry, forgot to mention that in the original post.
The problem with finding parts, is that the wireless is discontinued. So parts aren't offered from the AKG website.

I also, found a picture of the back. It's a 12V plugin. I'm worried about the illegal part though.. why is it illegal?

I just got an akg sr 40 diversity with the gb 40 guitar bug in a package deal I purchased. Is there anyway these can be upgraded to make them less likely to cause or be affected by interference and make them legal ?
