Alligator clips for pots/ caps - newbie question....

I am looking to test out a few different pots and caps over the next few weeks and have read on the TB forums that some alligator clips will help with comparisons/ testing.

Would some mini alligator clips do the job or would I need to go smaller? I have seen some micro clips listed on radio shack but the only one's I can seem to get in the UK are the following mini ones:
