Question allparts.com pickups any good?

I was looking to get four Nordstrand NP4 pickups for my 83' Rich NJ Eagle. I noticed these ones on allparts.com for less than half the price. Has anyone used the allparts pickups?

I used them once before I started winding my own. They're ok I guess for Asian mass-produced machine-wound pickups. Probably not much different from the ones that you have now, tho.

Would the Nordstom's be worth the extra cash then?

I've heard good things, but I've never used them. I use mine exclusively (what did you expect I'd say, lol).

You get what you pay for when it comes to bass pickups and preamps. 9 times out of 10 the more expensive pickups will sound better than the cheap pickups IME.

Nordstrand makes top quility pickups and has exceptional customer service. If you're spending the money for better pickups, you might as well get some of the best avaliable. The Allparts pickups may not be as good as the stock pickups. The Allparts pickups are more of a replacement than an upgrade.
