AllParts pickups

All right I'll make this quick. I'm going Billy Sheehan with my P bass and want to know what pickup to put in the neck position. I've found an allparts pickup which is similar to an EB-0 pickup and is rather cheap but will this give me a good, deep, bassy sound? Thanks.

It should sound just like a Gibson, very deep and thick with very little high end. I think that's an Artec pickup.

You can get the same thing cheaper here:

Only I see they are out of stock..

It DOES look like the Artec and the Allparts might be the same manufacturer.

But the 25+K ohms, double sidewinder coils, and adjustable pole pieces all tells me that these will sound almost the same as a genuine Gibson Mudbucker, they're definitely constructed the same way.

You might also seek a DiMarzio Model One, or there's a big ol Peavey Humbucker on the 'Bay now, too.

I went Sheehan on this one. Didn't have a chrome cover for it, so I bought a small black electronics "project box" and used the lid!
