Alnico or Ceramic in Ibanez RD605?

Sign in to disble this ad
I know these basses were not readily in the US, but there's an international membership here, so hopefully someone can tell me.....

Without actually taking the thing out of the bass, does anyone know if the MM5 pup in the RD605 is Alnico or Ceramic?

General received wisdom is that the Ceramic is the better of the two in this case, and I have a brand new one in the drawer. If the fitted is Alnico, I'll swap, if not I might route out the neck space & make it a double MM5.
