Talking Alright you diy wiring fools I need some help

Sign in to disble this ad
I wanna wire my bass with only a selector switch. I have a warmoth jazz and I wanna have neck select, both, and bridge with no tone or volume pots. So just that 3way switch. So how do I do this?. I can follow diagrams I just dont have any knowledge of how wiring works. Any suggestions will be welcome thanks!!

Selector switch is normally the first control in a guitar circuit (basses don't typically have them but doesn't matter) so simply find a diagram (guitarelectronics.com, Fender, whoever) with that common layout, get that kind of switch, and run the hot/ground out straight to the jack instead of the volume/whatever control that follows the switch.

Or simply do what I've done, stick only a blend in then you've got a mix beyond just 3 fixed positions.
