| Alternative to SCN pups

I own two jazz basses, one with a 2 band pre and SCN pickups and the other a stock MIM deluxe. I'm looking to swap out the stock pups on the deluxe but I notice the SCNs on the other bass having too much low end, too much that I have a hard time dialing in high crispy punch. I figure it's probably attributed to the SCNs being humbuckers.
So my question is what pickups do you recommend for my deluxe MIM that will be punchy but still yield high end? Basically the opposite of what I'm getting from the SCNs. |
