American Deluxe stock PUPs
Hey there TB-
I have an '08 American Deluxe jazz bass and I'm wondering if the pickups are active or passive. I can't find that info and I've done a bit of searching.
Of course it has an 18v preamp, just wondering whether the pups themselves are active.
thanks

Hi,
The OEM pickups are passive, probably SCN noiseless, designed by Bill Lawrence. Nice pickups.

+1
passive pickups into an active preamp (how just about all pickups except EMG and a few bartolinis do it).
