Another guitar humbucker sized pickup question

Hi all,

I know this has been well covered, and I have done a search through the forums, but I can't seem to find any pickups that fit my Hohner B2A that give a more modern type sound. I have a G&L L2000 (tribute) which I love the sound, and I really, really, really dislike the EMG selects in it now.

I have looked at three options, but each have issues I'd like to get some info on:

1) Q-tuner guitar pickups (which should fit). I sent an email to Erno at Neophyzix, and said the guitar pickups and the bass pickups are very similar. The only issue is these are 2 wire pickups so no coil tap.

2) Rio grande pitbull. Drop in fit. Email Dave at Rio who informed me these are 4-wire, so I can do series/parallel/single coil.

3) Schaller Bassbucker. Drop in fit as well. 4-wire (good as above). These little buggers are hard to find, and may be very difficult to get here in Australia.

So if anyone has any thoughts on this, chime in and let me know.

They make humbucker sized bass pickups as well as traditional types.

The X2N-B was something that kept coming up in my searches here. Does any one know of any sound clips??
