Antiquity II - No P/J Set?

Is it a bad idea to match a P to a bridge J in the SD Antiquity II series?

Do they not make a set like that because they are strictly sticking to the Vintage (no P-J) concept, or is there something electonically that just wont work by making this match?

Why I don't know for sure, but many have combined the two Antiquities and seem to like them.

My only concern would be the J pickup is single coil and will contribute a bit of noise that can not be removed with shielding. But many other companies do it and people buy them. Myself, I can't put up with extra noise, but if you're playing loud stuff at a typical bar gig and not recording or playing more intimate things it probably doesn't matter.

It's not a very good idea to put a single coil J pickup in a P/J set-up. The P pickup will not hum cancel the J pickup, meaning you will always have single coil hum happening, even with both pickups on full.
