Any dark voiced mm humbucker pups out there?

The mm type pups Ive played in basses (Traben, BC rich, Musicman) have all been more trebly voiced then I like. Since I prefer to only use small eq adjustments for onboard preamp, I'm wondering if anyone makes mm type pup thats known for much darker then average voiceing. Yet still very articulate and pref crunchy rather then smooth? Came across a nice bass looks and playability wise but it has neck and bridge MM type humbuckers, so is a no go unless theres replacement pups available for $200 the set neck and bridge or less. Ty

Bartolini or Lakland sound like what you're after.

Gotta be Bartolini, had an SR5 with one in. I really hated the sound personally.

A lot of it has to do with the position of the pickup.

Heck, just slap a bigger cap into the tone control
