I got an interesting idea for a preamp, want to know if it can be done and what it'll cost me.

Look at my profile.

I'm not looking for work though, just interested in what you're up to. I might be able to refer you to someone who can help.

Ditto, I thought I might be able to help with the design so any local tech might be able to do it.

I got a pcb with 3 pots from a parametric eq pedal. I want to "convert" the pedal to an onboard "preamp"... yes... I am mad!

Post a pic with dimensions. At first guess you'd probably only need to remove the poys from the board and put them on short leads so they fit in the holes on the bass. Depends how many holes etc you have and how you want to implement any volume and pssive tone controls.

Will the PCB fit into the cavity?

It used to belong to my brother actually. He ran charters with it for a couple of years. It's a Privilege 48. That picture's from Mayreau, in the Grenadine Islands, and that's me jibing on the sailboard. Big fun!

I'd be happy to try to help you plan it out, and A9X is very experienced at this sort of stuff as well. But I already have enough local guys beating me up to "unretire" and fix their amps and whatnot.

So, hows about a few more details?
