Any Fernandes 80's Jazz owners?

Have any of you ever swapped out pickups? Or any other parts?

I still own a 4string PJ. Really good bass, both in sounds as well as playability. I did not really like the sound so I swapped the pickups and electronics for SD Quarter Pounders and a SD Bassline pre-amp. This bass puts to shame many basses that have a sale value of 2k

Thanks for the info, although I was thinking of staying passive. I was thinking of installing either Fender CS Jazz's or possibly Lindy's. Lindys are pricey but nice , Fender's you can find at a deal somewhere.
