I have them on two of my basses, one where it replaced an EMG system, and one which was passive. IMO, they are high quality preamps with very musical boosts/cuts. Don't look for coloration here. Artificial harshness be gone! (Except that which my EMG's make. I am replacing them though.)

Very cool... evidently Jens Ritter uses Noll electronics.

I had one in my KSD Proto J 5.
It is a very nice sounding preamp, but has a very spongy feel on the center click of the pan pot and the vol pot was pretty much an on off switch only.Noll sent me a different pot but it wasn't much better. The preamp broke after just 3 months.Noll offered to replace it but I did not trust it anymore( didn't even ask for my money back). I installed another Sadowsky pre just like I have in my 74 Jazz.Never a problem there.
